What’s there in this film?.

Putham Pudhu Kaalai (2020), one of the most anticipated films of Amazon prime released this month, the whole reason for this expectation is its directors.

We know this an Anthology movie a combination of many stories. Anthology films like this are not new in Tamil cinema, but this Putham Pudhu Kaalai (2020) retained his uniqueness in that list only because of its impressive execution.

Ok dudes, let’s go deeper into this film, it has five stories, first one ilamai Idho Idho by Sudha Kongara,second Avarum Naanum by GVM, 3rd Reunion by Rajiv Menon, Coffee Anyone by Suhasini and final story Karthik Subbaraj.

There are five directors in the film, you can ask me whose story and direction do you like, my answer to this is the story of Sudha Kongara and Karthik Subbaraj. If you ask me if other people’s story is good, they were all good but these are the ones that caught my attention.

Ilamai Idho Idho [Sudha Kongara], The love story of an elderly couple, but the story is told with a focus on their youthful appearance.Director Sudha kongara carried out “how love makes the life young” sweetly and enjoyably in this film.Kalidas Jayaram and Kalyani Priyadharshan combo definitely will attract your aattention.

Avarum Naanum [Gautam Menon], A heart-melting conversation between a granddaughter, and his grandfather who has separated his daughter from the family. sentimental Drama M.S. Bhaskar stole my heart.

Reunion [Rajiv Menon], two old friends meet by a sudden lockdown. the story moves with the focus on the old love that blossoms again between them. Andrea Jeremiah impresses us with this story because of her new look and her drug addict character.

Coffee Anyone [Suhasini], the story goes with the joys and sorrows of the daughters who come to see her mother who bedridden. Not much deep emotional but shruti Hasan and Suhasisni enhanced it to a little bit.

Miracle [Karthik Subbaraj], the story of two friends who get stuck in LockDown and rob for money.As usual like his previous movies Karthik Subbaraj gave a final touch to the film by his wasted feel twist to the character.

After it’s directors, the biggest strength of the film is its technical teams and its songs, all the songs in the film is a mix of ’90s + 20’s feel, you can that vibe in every lyric of that songs.

The whole flick is a file of sweet family stories, pure bliss you can feel the smile on your face after watching each story.

What’s not there in this film?.

The film is Pakka by all means, but it seemed to me like I had seen sentimental films like this many times. Despite the many stories like this, the directors innovated the film with their good execution.

Some characters aren’t that deep, that’s just true. mainly Suhasini’s story characters, they were emotional but not much, this is my thought.

The truth is, the whole movie is a collection of predictable old type sentimental stories except the last one, but still best at it’s best.

By director wise i gave it to Sudha Kongara for her sheer bliss story.

And Karthik Subbaraj for maintaining his usual final touch.

My actor wise it fits M.S. Bhaskar for his pure excellent performance as Thaatha.

I think, i already gave that one.

The whole movie is an offering to family audience, but for fans like me who like new stories, the film can be disappointing.this is my opinion about this Putham Pudhu Kaalai (2020).

Old type stories, we have watched countless times on many Tamil movies.

Characters aren’t much deep.

The predictable narration made me skip some scenes.
